NFL forbids players from betting at upcoming Super Bowl

Players—those participating in the game as well as those simply visiting the city—need to take additional precautions now that the Super Bowl will be held in Las Vegas. Due to its link to sports gambling, the NFL previously enforced strong regulations prohibiting players from visiting Las Vegas. All of that has changed, though, since the Supreme Court struck down the ban on sports betting in 2018.

No gambling, including playing casino games and placing sports bets, is permitted for Super Bowl players while they are in Las Vegas. The league wants participants to abstain from all gambling during this period, as it is a strictly enforced rule.
