NFL owners agree to open in-stadium bookmakers during games

A proposal that permits in-stadium sportsbooks to remain accessible while games are being played there was approved by NFL owners on Tuesday. The choice marks the league's swift shift from an anti-gambling stance to a broad embrace of the sports betting sector. It is the latest in a string of significant decisions. The Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, and Jets currently have betting locations outside their stadiums, leaving only the Washington Commanders with a sportsbook inside their home field. In-stadium sportsbooks are permitted for venues located in states where sports betting is now legal under the NFL's new resolution.
