NFL Players Association sues DraftKings over NFTs

Following DraftKings' July shutdown of the Reignmaker NFT, the NFL Players Association filed a lawsuit in US District Court for the Southern District of New York against the company and its parent, DK Crown Holdings, Inc.

The NFLPA claims it gave DraftKings licenses to use NFL players' intellectual property rights and is suing for damages for a "anticipated breach of contract." Customers who use the product can purchase NFTs to participate in fantasy sports competitions.
