No vote taken on Brazil casinos as senators assess gambling

On Thursday, the senate discussed issues like addiction and money laundering in addition to the financial advantages of legalizing casinos, bingo, jogo de bicho, and horse racing; however, no vote was held on the bill.

During yesterday's debate, the Senate deliberated on the possible advantages of legal casinos and other land-based gaming in Brazil.

Senators emphasized the potential economic gains from increased tax revenue and job creation. Potential drawbacks and solutions for problems like gambling addiction were also discussed.
