North Carolina casino suggestion heavily opposed by community

This week, the residents of a North Carolina community strongly objected to state legislation proposing a casino resort in their area. The North Carolina senate thinks that legalizing commercial casinos will prevent gambling money from going to neighboring Virginia and create almost 1,750 job opportunities in the county. However, during a town hall meeting, many residents expressed their opposition to the casino proposal.
