Northern Ireland calls for gambling advertising restrictions

The Westminster Government is being urged to act immediately on gambling advertising by the Northern Ireland Assembly's All-Party Group on Reducing Harm Related to Gambling, which emphasizes the necessity of extensive regulatory reforms.

Strong protections are offered by the Republic of Ireland's new law, which gives the gambling regulator the authority to regulate the frequency, locations, and hours of advertising.

Importantly, it also forbids branded apparel or products aimed at youth and advertising that could appeal to children.
