Nottingham Forest defender reportedly accused of flouting FA betting laws

The Football Association is said to have filed 375 charges against Harry Toffolo, a defender for Nottingham Forest, for breaking betting laws. Between January 22, 2014, and March 18, 2017, Toffolo played on loan for Swindon Town, Rotherham United, Peterborough United, and Scunthorpe United, according to regional and national media. During that time, the breaches allegedly took place. However, if the defendant can demonstrate that any wagers made in violation of these regulations were on legitimate football pools that have been registered, the bets will not be viewed as unethical or illegal in any way.
