Number of people on Swedish gambling self-exclusion register reaches 100,000

More than 100,000 users have actively enrolled in the Swedish gambling self-exclusion registry, administered by the Swedish gambling regulatory authority.

The register was an integral part of the reinvigorated gambling sector, emphasizing responsible gaming when it was initially launched on January 1, 2019. The service provides options for immediate self-exclusion with durations of one month, three months, six months, or an indefinite period, with a minimum term of 12 months.

All forms of gambling activities and services fall under the purview of this exclusion, including Casino Cosmopol, horse tracks, bingo, lotteries, and casinos. In line with standard industry practice for self-exclusion lists, once the exclusion is enacted, it cannot be rescinded or terminated prematurely.
