Number of people seeking help for gambling in Scotland reducing, courtesy GambleAware sources.

To illustrate the negative effects of gambling at the local government and parliamentary constituency levels throughout Great Britain, GambleAware has released new interactive maps.

According to the research, fewer people in Scotland—only 16.7%—than the average of 20.9% throughout Great Britain report having problems getting treatment, support, or advice related to their gambling. Additionally, fewer people in Scotland than the average also reported seeking help.

According to the research, the impact on one's finances is the main reason (29.2%) why people in Scotland seek help for gambling problems.
