Odds on former president to win US election shorten following assassination attempt

Donald Trump, the former president, has long been the favorite in 2024 betting. However, in the wake of the Republican leader's abortive attempt at assassination, his chances of winning the election on November 5 and deposing President Joe Biden have become even more slim.

Bettors who increased their stakes on Trump unseating Biden increased their risk exposure on the 2024 result. Trump's implied odds of winning in November increased from roughly 59% to 66% on political wagering exchanges, the only type of political gambling that is allowed in a gray area while legal challenges are pending.

It is very obvious that Trump will win the coming election considering the fact that Biden is no more in the race. Secondly, American voters have never given a woman mandate to lead them. The chance is more for Republicans to win this election.
