Ofcom praises Twitch for accuracy in regulating gambling content on platform

After examining the streaming platform's categorization guidelines, UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom has acknowledged an improvement in Twitch's accuracy in labeling mature content.

Due to an increase in content targeted at mature audiences, such as gambling streams, Twitch revised its content classification policies in June 2023.

Streamers must now add content classification labels to their streams to indicate that adult themes are present.
