Ohio Lottery cashing services back to normal after December cybersecurity hack

Following a cybersecurity breach that rendered it nearly unfeasible to redeem winning tickets valued at more than $599, the Ohio Lottery has announced that all available options are once more accessible.

The Ohio Lottery confirmed that an unauthorized third party most likely obtained access to retailer and customer data, which is a drawback.

Following weeks of the lottery becoming the target of a cybersecurity incident on December 24 in which hackers may have gained access to retailer and customer data, the lottery announced that it was once again enabling players to cash in winning tickets for $599.
