Olympics unlikely to spur huge betting activity in the US

The Opening Ceremony and "Parade of Nations" on the Seine mark the official start of the 2024 Summer Olympics, also known as the Games of XXXIII Olympiad.

The Olympics aren't anticipated to be a betting bonanza for oddsmakers domestically, despite the fact that there will be an endless stream of sports over the next 16 days, both live and rerun during US primetime hours. Even though the Olympics feature a number of popular sports that are well-liked by gamblers, such as basketball, golf, and tennis, most of the competitions are specialized and not very well-known to most Americans.
