One Supreme Court judge was keen on accepting Florida gambling compact

When it came to the motion to dismiss the case contesting the legitimacy of the Florida legislature and governor's decision to allow the Seminole Tribe to operate online sports betting in the state, the majority of high court justices agreed with lower federal appeals courts.

The approval of four justices is necessary for the Supreme Court to review a decision made by a lower court; a majority is not necessary. The case was officially dismissed, the lower court's decision was upheld, and there was only one vote to certify the petition.
