Oregon Lottery to return $947million to state for fiscal year

For the fiscal year 2024, the Oregon Lottery has declared that it will give back more than $947 million to the state. That is a $48 million increase over the previous year. Public schools, outdoor schools, veteran services, state parks and natural habitats, and economic development are all benefited by the funding.

The lottery made $940 million. The state will also receive the $8 million in unclaimed prizes for the year. Players won almost $16 billion over the course of the year, according to the lottery. Together, the 3,800 lottery retailers in Oregon made nearly $310 million in commissions.
