On the one paw, paired eights is a solid starter hand, the kind that oft sees you into the flop cheap. But them kings and queens, they're blue chip! Movers and shakers that'll stomp everything else outta the pot if they improve. Me, I'm tending to lean KQ here. Kings and queens, they got muscle. They keep other players guessing, wondering if you're pushing three of a kind or just trying to bluff with second pair. Versatility is power at this table, and KQ's got it in spades. That's how I'd play it, anyway. How'd it go down?
