Wynn Interactive Holdings has reached a deal with PENN Entertainment to purchase its mobile sports wagering licenses in New York, giving PENN access to the market in that jurisdiction.
In 2024, PENN plans to introduce ESPN BET, an online sports wagering service, in New York, subject to regulatory approvals.
PENN is paying Wynn Interactive $25 million to acquire WSI US as part of the deal. The organization in possession of the licenses for mobile sports wagering that the New York State Gaming Commission originally granted in 2021 is WSI US. Wynn Resorts owns Wynn Interactive as a subsidiary.
