Pennsylvania easing re-enrolment for self-excluded gamblers

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has suggested making it easier for self-excluded individuals to reenter the commonwealth's 17 physical casinos. The October rulemaking proposal would automatically re-enroll banned casino patrons as permitted individuals and remove the request for removal component. The only self-exclusion program run by the board that still requires a gambler to apply for reinstatement after their self-exclusion has ended is the casino self-exclusion program.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has proposed a rule change to simplify the process for individuals re-entering the state's 17 physical casinos after self-exclusion. Under the new guidelines, self-excluded patrons would automatically be re-enrolled after their ban ends, eliminating the need to request removal. This change applies only to the casino self-exclusion program, the last one still requiring an application for reinstatement.
