Pennsylvania gambling industry records highest profit margins ever

The state's 17 land-based casinos, iGaming venues, retail and online sportsbooks, daily fantasy sports operators, and locations for video gaming terminals collectively took in more than $5.5 billion from players during the fiscal year 2022–2023. This is the state's gaming industry at its healthiest point ever. By allowing "mini-casinos" with a maximum capacity of 750 slot machines and 40 table games, Pennsylvania considerably increased the size of its state gaming industry in 2017. Additionally, the gaming bill permitted iGaming, slot-style video gaming terminals, and sports betting at specific truck stops.
