Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board punishes women who neglected children to gamble

Two people are involved in this case because they each left kids alone in hazardous parking lots at casinos on different occasions.

An unnamed mother abandoned her 11-year-old child in a car parked at the Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia in the first case.

The child was left alone in the 80-degree heat for at least forty minutes while the woman gambled inside the property. The state's social services are notified when children are left unattended for an extended period of time by the authority.

Two recent incidents involved parents leaving children unattended in casino parking lots. In one case, a mother left her 11-year-old child alone in her car at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia for at least forty minutes in 80-degree heat while she gambled. Authorities are concerned, especially since state social services are notified whenever children are found left alone for long periods in hazardous conditions. Such situations are highly dangerous due to the risks associated with leaving children unsupervised, particularly in active, high-traffic environments like casino parking lots.
