Across the Illinois River, the City of Peoria is making every attempt to win over Boyd Gaming and its Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino. An ordinance to employ a renowned boutique investment bank with a concentration on gaming and hospitality to assist in draughting its bid to bring Boyd west across the river and Peoria Lake was unanimously approved by city authorities during the joint City Council and Town Board meeting in Peoria. Innovation Capital, LLC, a Florida-based company, was hired by Peoria to offer the city investment banking services in connection with a possible land-based casino.
