Phillippine lawmakers propose gambling regulator rebrand to Philippine Amusement and Gaming Commission

Lawmakers in the Philippines have put forth plans to restructure the nation's gaming sector and remove the government's involvement in running slot machines, table games, and internet gambling sites.

The organization that presently oversees and runs commercial casinos, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, would be replaced by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Commission. The casinos owned and operated by Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation use the government-issued Casino Filipino name.
