PKOs: The best of both worlds?

PKOs sure do sound sweet, like the best of both worlds wrapped up in one hand. You got position plus an overpair, so the action’s gonna come to you and fold like a cheap tent. But it’s not really the best of both, it’s the worst! An overpair’s only good if the board pairs up, and by the time it does you’ll have lost plenty in the pot. Position’s a power Lissen, but power ain’t worth nothin’ if you gotta keep folding.

Them PKO hands will get ya action, but they don’t stand up to real competitors at the table. Keep ‘em if they’re all that’s showin’, but don’t go thinking they’re superhands. In poker, the actual cards matter most. Position’s a help, but great cards are a winner every time. So bye bye PKOs, and hello pocket pairs!
