Plans revealed for construction of $2billion casino in Fiji

Plans for a $2 billion project, comprising a casino and a 1000-room, seven-star hotel, were revealed yesterday by a Macau investor. In order to address alleged false and misleading information regarding the proposed casino project on social media, the company called a press conference yesterday. The project's leader claimed that it was in keeping with the government's agenda of private sector-led growth that increased services sector exports while enhancing the value of the national economy. Development would begin in 2026, the spokesperson said, assuming the project was approved.
