Ain't nothin' like settlin' in for a hand of poker after a good break. Makes a fella feel refreshed and ready to take some risks. When I plop down at that table again, I start really payin' attention. How other players act, the bets they make, any tells in their twitchy eyes or clenched jaws.
After some time away, I come back feelin' like I got new eyes. The players are playin' the same hands, but it seems like somethin' shifted. Maybe old habits broke and new strategies formed. Maybe a few got a bit more aggressive or tight-fisted. When the cards start dealin' again, I'm peering at every hand real close, trying to get a sense of who's perceiving the game differently. It only takes one player seeing things new to mix up the whole dynamic. That's the beauty of poker!
