A woman-founded business called Poker Power seeks to teach women how to play poker in order to give them self-assurance and the ability to take calculated risks.
The founder and her husband tried to teach their teenage daughter how to read her opponent on the tennis court in late 2019, which gave rise to the idea for the business. They felt that learning poker might be helpful as they struggled to teach her to think about her rival rather than just the game.
