The National Police Board (NPB) has issued a warning that it is keeping an eye out for potential violations of the laws governing gambling advertising during the current World Rally Championship (WRC) Rally Finland. The BPB worries that illegal or foreign gambling businesses may attempt to utilize the event for marketing even though Finland only permits advertising for its monopoly gaming company Veikkaus.
Johanna Syväterä, a senior consultant for the NPB, stated: "During the event, attempts to sell the brands of foreign gambling service providers and their games may surface in the form of logos printed on advertisements.
