Leigh Griffiths, a former Celtic player, has been questioned by police who are looking into allegations of betting.
On Thursday, an operation was done by Scotland Yard in Bothwell, South Lanarkshire, Bonnyrigg, Edinburgh, and Airdrie, Northern Lanarkshire.
According to the police, three guys were detained and then released without being charged.
A spokesman for Police Scotland stated: "Three men, ages 37, 35, and 32, were detained on Thursday, December 1 as a result of a planned police operation in the areas of Bothwell, Bonnyrigg, and Lanarkshire in relation to an investigation into suspected gambling occurrences in sports.
