Police raid underground gambling establishment at Osh Market

After bribing a police officer, a 33-year-old man was arrested in Bishkek.

The prisoner sought customers for his clandestine enterprise.

Police discovered an underground casino in one of the basements at Osh Market. A case was initiated in accordance with the Kyrgyz Republic's Criminal Code article. In order to prevent law enforcement from interfering with his operations, the owner of the illicit business called one of the Leninsky district's Department of Internal Affairs officers and offered 30,000 soms per month.

These operations often operate outside the law, leading to potential issues like tax evasion, money laundering, and exploitation. Raids like this can disrupt these illicit networks and send a message that such activities won't be tolerated. It's important for law enforcement to continue these efforts to protect the community and ensure a fair and regulated environment for any form of gambling.
