Nine locations in the Sentul neighborhood that are thought to be engaged in prostitution and gambling have had their power switched off.
The power outage, according to Sentul District Superintendent ACP Beh Eng Lai, was carried out in conjunction with Tenaga Nasional Berhad as a result of several raids that took place during the year on 19 brothels and 20 casinos.
"The majority of the locations searched were shophouses that prostitution and betting gangs had rented out for their operations.
