Athletes and well-known faces appearing in sports gambling advertisements don't seem to have much of an endorsement from Canadians.
A recent Maru Public Opinion survey finds that 68% of participants want current players and celebrities to be prohibited from appearing in gambling-related advertisements, while 66% believe that sports betting advertisements shouldn't air during live events and games.
Conversely, nearly 25% of Canadians claim that having access to sports betting makes them watch games more frequently.
