Pope County casino bidding period set to open in the second quarter of 2024

A third round of bidding is being held for the Pope County-reserved gaming license in Arkansas. The first two came to a chaotic legal end.

The four commercial casino licenses that voters approved in a statewide ballot referendum in 2018 will be issued, according to the amended rules approved by the Arkansas Racing Commission. It is anticipated that the gaming concession allotted for Pope County will go up for competitive bidding in the upcoming months.
