Popular Singaporean actor Terrence Cao could be punished for endorsing illegal gambling

Recently, three brief videos featuring Singaporean actor Terence Cao were used to advertise the services of an illicit online gambling site. Just over a minute and a half long, the YouTube videos—which have since been removed—show Cao playing characters who use their phones to access the website and win money. The Singapore Gambling Control Act, which forbids illegal gambling, may be broken by the videos. For violations, a maximum fine of $20,000 may be assessed.

You can tell that gambling is a no-no in Singapore, and it is quite refreshing to see a country that actually enforces its rules to the hilt by sanctioning the perpetrators swiftly. I hope that the actor will learn from this
