The internet casino sector propelled Portugal's online gambling earnings to a remarkable €205.9m in Q2, marking a new high. This figure comfortably surpassed the €145.2m generated in the same quarter of 2022. Moreover, it exhibited a 4.9% increase compared to the previous record of €196.4m achieved in Q1 of this year. Notably, online games of chance contributed €122.0m to the overall revenue for the quarter, representing a substantial 51.6% surge from the previous year. The Gaming Regulation and Inspection Service, the regulatory authority, confirmed that this feat set a fresh record for this particular segment.
