While luck has a part, place around the table often decides poker results more than cards. Being in the correct place allows perfect moves that maximize profit.
From early places like utg+1, only play strong polarized hands to steal the blinds or set mine.
Though, from the small blind and big blind, you see more flops free giving you equity with medium hands. Play a wider range from the blinds.
The button place is most advantageous as you can see the action before raising or calling.
Therefore while cards matter, place determines achievement more. Changing your strategy based on place can give you an advantage the next time you play. Keeping emotion in check remains important to come out a winner in the long run.

I think Position in poker refers to where a player sits relative to the dealer or the button. The position is vital in poker achievement because it determines the strength of a player's hand, the amount of information a player has about others' actions, and the ability to control the pot's size

Poker players that are in position can play the hand perfectly and use a strong hand to extract the maximum value. Additionally, it allows players to fold more hands when they would otherwise have to play out of position.

I think Being in position means that a player is acting after their opponents on the betting rounds. This means that they have more information about what their opponents are doing and can make more informed decisions. For example, if a player in position sees their opponents check, they may decide to bet and represent a strong hand, knowing that their opponents are unlikely to have a strong hand themselves.
