Proposed Richmond casino project set to stay on November ballot

Residents of Richmond, Virginia will be able to vote once more on a proposed casino for the Southside of the city. The city's petition to hold another casino referendum on November 7 was approved by a Circuit Court judge. The judge's decision was in response to a motion to halt the referendum made by a nearby nonprofit organization. The Richmond Lodge No. 1 of the Good Lions, Inc. claimed that the new casino will hurt their ability to make money. Twice a week, the group holds charitable gaming events.
