Queen Baton Rouge opens land casino in Louisiana

Following a $85 million renovation that moved the casino ashore and increased the gaming area, The Queen Baton Rouge is now officially open. Although the casino doesn't have a hotel on-site, the $85 million upgrade did allow for the addition of new eateries and bars. Big Chicken, a fast-casual business that specializes in Louisiana fried chicken, is one of the increased choices. The chain's co-founder is LSU graduate Shaquille O'Neal.

Additionally, 6,000 square feet of conference and event space are available at The Queen Baton Rouge.
