Queensland gambling regulator under scrutiny for granting new Brisbane casino license

Two days before Star Entertainment Group was once more found unfit to operate a casino in New South Wales, Queensland's gambling regulator is under scrutiny for having approved the new Star Brisbane casino's license.

The Queensland Attorney-General made a statement last night stating that the gaming regulator had been closely collaborating with the independent casino commission of New South Wales to supervise The Star's remediation efforts and had been keeping an eye on the 2024 investigation into The Star.
