Questions raised over extent of unlicensed gambling in Czech Republic

The trade association for the gaming industry, the Institute for the Regulation of Gambling, reports that it has discovered significant discrepancies in information regarding Czech customers' exposure to unregulated gaming. It is requested that the government explain the presented numbers.
According to the body, the trend toward online gambling is to blame for the rise in illegal gaming. It mentioned that a Poker and Odds Players Association survey revealed that up to 40% of players—often unknowingly—use illicit online operators. The customs organization only takes into account websites that are available in Czech, despite the fact that many players visit websites that are in other languages.
