Recently introduced Maryland iGaming bill is amended by lawmakers

Maryland lawmakers are changing the rules for online casinos. They have made changes to House Bill 1319, which is about allowing online gambling in the state.

The bill now lets 30 places in Maryland have licenses for online betting. But there are concerns it could hurt regular casinos and lead to more gambling problems.

Despite this, online gambling could bring in a lot of money for Maryland, though it might affect funding for education.
