Remote casino in South Korea committed to non-gambling

The government of South Korea owns the remote casino resort Kangwon Land, which aims to attract nongamblers.

The project entails remodeling the resort's existing amenities, building a new high roller casino, and adding more hotel rooms. About 30% more space is available on the Kangwon Land casino floor thanks to the VIP gaming area.

The intention is to build a resort that is as well-known for its culinary experiences and entertainment as it is for its casino. By 2023, nongaming income is expected to make up 30% of Kangwon Land's total revenue.
