Report finds surge in angry gamblers expressing displeasure at tennis players

Prominent tennis organisations have released the findings of a new campaign to shield officials and players from cyberbullying. This cooperative initiative, which was started in 2023 and will run through 2024, uses the Threat Matrix service to shield athletes, referees, and other participants from threatening and abusive conduct on social media. Over 2.4 million postings were tracked by the system on sites including X, Instagram, and TikTok. Of these, 12,000 verified abusive comments were found and reported for action.
