Report reveals gambling addiction has increased exponentially in Tokyo

According to the Society Concerned about Gambling Addiction in Tokyo, the number of gambling addiction cases in Japan that are connected to online casinos has significantly increased, with consultation requests growing elevenfold in the last five years.

There were 91 cases of family members gambling at online casinos between January and November 2024, compared to just eight cases in 2019 prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the main causes of this rise has been found to be the availability of 24-hour gambling through smartphones.

There is now more evidence linking criminal activity and gambling addiction. Thirty percent of 681 association members surveyed said that family members with gambling addictions had committed crimes, such as theft and embezzlement, or sought illegal work.

These type of development and results are pretty much critical and the highlight that when such things are happening that the authorities are not doing there responsibilities in the manner that they are desired to be doing by the public and their for they should make sure that they are always doing their responsibilities with full action and they are always following the set pattern in date actually for the benefit of the people
