Revenue from gaming in Spain increased by more than half in Q2

According to the Spanish gambling regulator DGOJ, the nationwide gross gambling revenue for the second quarter has been reported to be €312.6m. This displays a remarkable increase of 55.1% compared to the previous year, as well as a 2.5% growth from the previous quarter. The revenue from sports betting witnessed a significant surge, with a staggering 118.9% rise from the previous year, amounting to €133.3m. Furthermore, there was a slight increase of 2.1% in sports betting revenue compared to Q1. Despite these notable figures, the casino sector remained the primary source of gross gambling revenue, contributing €149.9m.
