Rhode Island senator makes controversial remark with regard to casino smoking

The president of the Rhode Island senate feels that since many gamblers enjoy smoking, smoke-free casinos would be expensive for the state to tax. He says those who are allergic to the smell of smoke should stay at home because iGaming is set to start in April 2024 following the approval of a bill by the governor and state legislators that permits online slot machines and table games.

It's interesting to note that this is not the first time the Senate president has voiced strong opposition to employees of casinos who want a clean-air workplace.
