Richmond barred from conducting more casino referendums

The mayor and city council of Richmond fervently pursued the establishment of a commercial casino in their city. Nonetheless, the planned casino project by the local government was rejected by voters in the capital city of Virginia twice. It is now against the law for the city to propose another ballot question regarding a casino.

Two bills that the governor of Virginia signed essentially prohibit Richmond from considering a casino development any further.
