A well-known attorney and political activist in Virginia says he is preparing a lawsuit to challenge the Richmond government's decision not to run a second open competition for the one casino development opportunity in the capital city. The casino referendum will now appear on the ballot in November 2023 according to a June vote by the City Council of Richmond. Although Urban One's development partners have since changed, the referendum reinstates the city's affiliation with the corporation.
