In an attempt to garner support, proponents of the $562 million Richmond Grand Resort & Casino referendum are offering free Uber rides and meals to voters in the state capital of Virginia.
During door-to-door canvassing, the campaign for the casino referendum is rewarding city residents who show support for the gaming project with free Uber vouchers, part of a treasure chest worth over $8.1 million. These vouchers can be used right away to visit any of the city's three early voting locations, which are located at Richmond City Hall, the Richmond City Office of Elections, and the Hickory Hill Community Center, ahead of Election Day on November 7.
