Rivers Casino Portsmouth generates $26.4million in first month of operation

Rivers Casino Portsmouth earned more than $24.6 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR) during its inaugural full month of business. The Hampton Roads casino, Virginia's first permanent casino property, cost $340 million to build. Rush Street Gaming, based in Chicago, owns and operates the venue. Rivers-branded casinos can also be found in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and New York. There are 1,420 slot machines as well as 81 table games at Rivers Portsmouth. The casino's February GGR of $24.6 million excludes earnings from its BetRivers Sportsbook. The Virginia Lottery will start releasing those numbers later.
