Rivers Casino Portsmouth surveillance shortcomings result in $545,000 fine

To resolve numerous regulatory infractions, Rivers Casino Portsmouth in Virginia has consented to pay a $545,000 fine.

Over 1,400 slot machines, 24 live dealer table games, a poker room, and a BetRivers Sportsbook are all part of the casino floor that is open 24/7. It was found in September that underage individuals had been given access to the floor in August. To end the infraction and prevent the case from going to a formal hearing before the lottery board, representatives of the lottery agreed to accept a fine of $40,000.
